Born in Desenzano del Garda, Italy, Anna Loro studied at Verona's Conservatoire with Mirella Vita, and at the Gargilesse Academie with Pierre Jamet. Winner of important international and national competitions, Anna started a career as a solo performer when still very young, and collaborated with many fine chamber ensembles. She performs solo recitals for important Associations and Musical European Societies, such as Teatro Comunale of Bologna, Piccolo Regio of Torino, Regio Theatre of Parma, Quartett Society of Milano, Fenice Theatre of Venice, September Music in Torino, Asolo Music, Musikverein in Vienna, Festival of Dresda, Festival of Salisburgo, Festival of Instanbul, European Harp Symphosium in Amsterdam, Festivals of Gargilesse, Salonicco, Tokyo and Nagoya, University of Buenos Aires and San Juan. Besides her solo recitals, since 1976 Anna was guest harp in prestigious orchestras, in Italy and abroad, as well as having held the post of Principal harp at the Arena di Verona (1980-1990) : the Radio Italian Swiss Orchestra, the RAI Symphony Orchestra of Torino, the Hessischer Rudfunk of Frankfurt, NDR of Amburg, Bayerischen Rundfunk of Munchen, under the baton of Claudio Abbado, Lorin Maazel, Gianadrea Gavazzeni, Donato Renzetti, Luciano Berio, Umberto Benedetti Michelangeli, Salvatore Accardo, Raphael Frübeck de Burgos, Alexander Lazarev, Eliahu Inbal, George Prètre, M. Jansons, N. Marriner and amongst many others. She collaborated with Chamber Ensemble "Carme" with whom performed "Danses" by Debussy under the baton of J.P.Rampal. She has recorded a CD in duo with the violinist Anahi Carfi, dedicated to Donizetti, Spohr, and Saent-Saens. In 1998 Anna performed the Mozart Concerto fpr flute ,harp and orchestra K299 in duo with Patrick Gallois with the Radio Orchestra of Lugano, under the baton of Alan Lombard. She gives Master Classes in Italy and abroad (Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Guidhall School in London, Royal College of Manchester, Conservatoire of Zaragoza, Montecarlo, Strasburg, etc) and is permanent harp teacher at Conservatory of Brescia.
